Watercolors; 24x32cm

After what felt like ages I wanted to do a watercolor again :)
I love Bonsais and anything related to Japanese Gardening and painting nature is always great! Even if the subject is not exactly natural ;)

I didn't use any reference for this, merely browsed dA and google for inspiration.

Simple and pure. I think that describes the layout the best.
Looking at my color box… dirty and wacky is more precise :B

I spent far more time on photographing and retouching this upload than on the actual painting :stare: If anybody has awesme tips on how to take good pictures of painting… GIEF! I already used 2 desk lamps for lighting and some random tinfoil :(

awwww I wanna go to one again :la:

It's just that sort of… ordered chaos. the way they can plan a garden like that and make it appear completely natural, like no human had any influence in it. which is just an amazing talent imo :)

it just soothes your soul :aww:

Lovely, Anne!! So soft and delicate...suits the bonsai tree :D As for photographing your work, I usually just scan mine...I can never seem to get a photo right either of traditional work :hmm:

Ahh lol I've done that before too, scanned something in a few parts...luckily it came together pretty nicely in Photoshop :)
