PS may not be the best app for vectors, but it's certainly the most user friendly.

yeah, especially when ps is the first program you use

I did start out with PS. But I also took a 6 month intensive illustrator course at SVA and I still struggle to use it. It's just not a user friendly program!

yeah, illustrator has some weird things compared to ps
especially the layers palette still pisses me of :B

I just don't understand why Adobe can't port some of the common sense functions of PS into Illustrator. Seems like a no brainer!

well, each program (inDesign and Flash especially) use different layer palettes, handle fonts totally different
i guess it comes cos they were all developed individually and getting them together is tough and takes long :B

Definitely brilliant, thank you very much for that one :) Since I'm only working with Photoshop, it'll help a lot to get more used to vectors before switching to Inkscape or Illustrator.

yes, totally

but i think its not only useful for vector art to know that Photoshop is capable of vectors :)

i work as webdesigner and naturally work in photoshop, but i do use the shape tools a lot to build my designs, so its good to make vectors and the whole layout in the same program ^^

Yes! Yes! Vectors are very sexy! I have been using my pentool for my 3D art. It's the best thing to use.

This deserves a fave!
