I read a very interesting article this week debating Photography Vs Literature and which one of the two tells us more. Of course there is always the element that a picture could be accompanied by words but neither aspect is enough to tell a whole story. But as the article says, Photography has become a universal constant in the world today and is accessible to nearly everybody. Yet many still believe that only pure narration can truly tell a story. What are your thoughts? As Photographers we can choose to limit what we tell or show with a photograph, we can even mislead. Can we convey more with words? Or more with an image? You could describe a person with words but never truly give an accurate picture of who they are visually without a photograph...

Over the past few months, we've been diligently working on cleaning up the category tree of old and unused categories. While most of this will go unnoticed by the community, what you will notice is the change from "Miscellaneous" galleries to "Other". The reason for this change is simple. The concept of Miscellaneous leads one to believe that it's a junk drawer category for everything under the sun when the intention was to be an "Other" category for deviations that don't fit well in other sub-categories of the tree. R&S - Font Gallery Update!!I am very happy to make an announcement today that is something that I have been eyeing suspiciously for a while and now am very relieved to see it done:
The Resource & Stock Images > Fonts gallery has been relaunched!

Now, without going into much detail, it used to be subpar. The category names were unprofessional and confusing, leading to frustrating search results and many many miscats.
Over the last month there has been a lot of work put into changing this status.
So first of all I’d like to thank ^Elandria and `Dan-Heffer who were very much in favor of the change and supported me in my endeavours to come up with a good gallery tree, despite being no experts on the topic of fonts, but giving me an outsiders input

In my opinion, one of the greatest advantages to the New Submission Process, are the thumbnail examples and descriptions that appear when you're selecting a category. It's no secret that we have misplaced deviations throughout the galleries and it's probably the most complained about topic I deal with on a daily basis. My team and I have been working hard to improve the descriptions and thumbnail examples for all of the galleries, and I'm happy
